JEDDAH: Khalidia Tambayz of coach Ronnie Carino beat Tropang Bakhs 108-87 in the PEAK-JBL tournament at ALBAIK basketball court in Khalidia District here. Khalidia Tambayz in their patented outside snipping grabbed the first berth for the best-of-three championship series in Group B. Tropang Bakhs missed important baskets in the final quarter.

Garcia scored 35 points for Khalidia Tambayz and was adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports best player of the game while Duds Ballinan had 19 points for Tropang Bakhs.

Avengers defeated Knights 89-82 and sealed a championship showdown with Tambayz. Avengers showed steady offense in fourth quarter, they went to the open man for a higher percentage shots as Knights had back-to-back costly errors in the crucial minutes of the game. Randy top-scored with 26 points for Avengers and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while David chipped in 27 points for the Knights.

Manila Zago of Loue Ghazi brought down Magma Bloods 86-81. Manila Zago applied tough defense in the final quarter as Magma Bloods in their usual running game lost steam in final seconds of the game. Aries contributed 23 points for Manila Zago and was adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports best player of the game while Ahmad Alonto led Magma Bloods with 23 points.

NRF of playing coach Gerry Acosta defeated BUPA 88-66. NRF played good offense in the whole game, BUPA connected in their outside shots in the first half of the game. NRF applied man-to-man defense in the fourth quarter to halt BUPA offense. Villones collected 16 points for NRF and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Ruben Del Rosario scored 21 points for BUPA.

IKEA of Ahmad Penaranda beat Manila Zago 113-107 in their Thursday game. IKEA had an excellent offense in the whole game as Manila Zago failed to find a way to stop IKEA offense. Garcia top-scored with a career high 61 points for IKEA and was adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports best player of the game while Navarro had 30 points for Manila Zago.

RJW Jufalli Wed Group defeated Gensoul 123-83 in the 40 and above division. RJW Jufalli applied trapping defense at the start of the seconds half to counter the Gensoul offense. Jameel Khobre scored 28 points for RJW Jufalli Wed Group and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Lacson and Umlas had 29 and 26 points respectively for Gensoul.
