JEDDAH: Khalidia Tambayz of coach Ronnie Carino defeated Tropang Bakhs 105-73 in the PEAK-JBL Basketball tournament at Al Baik court here in Khalidia District here.

Khalidia Tambayz capitalized on the late arrivals of Tropang Bakhs top players as they immediately bombarded the defense to enjoy a commanding 20 points lead after the first quarter. Tropang Bakhs managed to lower the gap but Khalidia Tambayz again attack with their outside snipping. George Butt top-scored with 23 points for Khalidia Tambayz and was adjudged as PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player of the game while Duds Balinan chipped in 27 points for Tropang Bakhs.

RJW Juffali Wednesday Group of playing coach Jhun Pantaleon beat Khalidia Knights 113-98 in the 40 and above category. RJW applied running game to defuse the tough defense by Khalidia Knights at the start of the game. The plan paid well for RJW as Khalidia Knights started to lose steam in the fourth quarter and missed important baskets. Jameel Cobre scored game high 44 points for RJW Juffali Wednesday Group and was adjudged as t JBL Best Player of the game while Batalon led Khalidia Knights with 34 points.

In Friday games, the game between Avengers and Leylati was stopped due to sandstorm in the third period. The score was 55-44 to Avengers. The resumption of the game has been scheduled for the next playing day.

Meanwhile, JBL will host the Gensoul Boys Haj Basketball Game Exhibition next Friday. Two games will be scheduled for midgets and junior categories.
