Lance & 3rdy chased down Team of the Week honors with two weeks left in the eliminations in the FTBJ-ICBL 32nd Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.

The breakthrough win for Lance came during the 16th session of the five-man team competition as it returned the top tally of 36 points.

The previous week honoree Cristal Global gained further ground on league leader Sarawat Superstores after it posted the second best total of 34 points followed by Jem Strikers 33, Hidada Ltd. 29 and JM Derby 23.

JM Derby tallied 23 points in fifth place on the day with Falcon 22 points and Sarawat 17. D’ Barkads, Sky Freight-TFC and Jeddah Lanes followed on 11, 9 and 6 points.

Ding Dela Rosa shot the high series of 698 on rounds of 209, 233 and 235 to become the Bowler of the Week and complete a Lance double.

Lance had been shadowed by Cristal in the fight for honors but pulled through with a strong finish winning the third game and overall output.

Ric Reformado and Med Ramos fired 575 and 565 to back up Dela Rosa, while the distaff side had Evelyn Santoc on 537, Aisah Silabay on 146-171 and Shirley Sagmit 150.

Zaldy Bacero was the main man at Cristal with 657, Merlen Pamintuan had 591, Bonnie Garcia 585 and Len-Len Berina 461.

Over at Jem Strikers, the trio of Jess Pineda, Charie Guzman and Che Bautista led the way with three-game series of 562, 555 and 530 to go with the 216-196 by Gerry Mandanas, 193-173 by Tommy de Castro ad 209-158 by Efren San Pedro.

Consistent Amro Al-Amri spearheaded the Hidada charge on 639 with Nanding Siasoco his chief backup on 597. Pinky Acato and Grace Siasoco tossed in 520 and 502, Rene Martinez carded 165-184 and Romy Bunagan made 182.

May Lourdes and Susan Patayan, teammates at JM Derby, owned the highest scores on the women’s side at 594 and 583 but to Patayan went the ladies Bowler of the Week accolade as Lourdes already won the award on the 12th week.

The other scorers at JM were Roger Daquioag 530, Jimmy Mandingiado 522, Obie Ycasas 161-234 and Nap Patayan 160.
