LONDON: Lionel Messi returned to the top of the Associated Press Global Football 10 after scoring a hat trick in Barcelona’s 5-0 win over Levante.

Messi received eight more votes than Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost, who scored four goals, as his side overcame Bayer Leverkusen 5-4.

Arjen Robben was third after propelling Bayern Munich to an 8-0 victory over Hamburg.

Bayern’s emphatic win put it at the top of the team vote ahead of Barcelona, with Wolfsburg third.
