On the 9th week of Almarai-FBGR Sunday Bowling League 13th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center, Look Up Boys were the Best Team of the Week and Yasser Mohammed the Best Bowler of the Week.
Almarai Company sponsored the league under the aegis of Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).
In a big night for Look Up Boys mentored by Ronald Bautista they blanked Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia Jr. 4-0 (25-6 points) with left hander Andro Tismo hitting 847, followed by Butch Espinosa 840 and Joe Garrido 828. Erwin Nacario added 407 and Armin Isles 370. Top scorers for the losing team were Ed Cruz 782, followed by Butch Mateo 778, Vic Barrazona 762, Manny Lebrilla 377 and Urrutia 360.
RG512 defeated Almarai Co. of Jun Daniel 24-13 with team captain Yasser at the helm when he shot the high series of 926 on lines of 198, 230, 201 and 297 to bag the Best Bowler award. He got big help from Ahmad Al-Qarquosh 886, Rocky Manipon 815 and Resty De Jesus 731. Sammy San Juan contributed 403 and Edgar Buenaventura 370. Fhel Ramos led Almarai on 769. Doy Del Moral made 764, Joel Batolina 622, Jun Daniel 622, Alex Armada 573 and Paul Decena 529 for Almarai.
The game between defending champion Carry Over of Lulu Quejada and Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad ended in an exciting 2-2 draw at 17-17 points. Their top scorer was Mohamed Al-Masri 812, followed by Rodel Maranca 784, Nap Torres 771 and HRH MS 745. Celis Viloria had 623 in three games played and Bembol Velasco 164. Alsalam Knights’ leading scorer was Efren Abuyo 871. Jess Vidal 847, Bandar Al-Marshad 785, Rollie Cleofe 713, Douglas Voughan 370 and Alfred Valencia 316 followed Abuyo in that order.
In another match, IBG Storm of Ric Singson, buried Nadec Strokers of Lope Ramirez 20-9. Leading IBG Storm were Marvin Arocena 826, Rey Bautista 813, Arnold Jesena 811, and Zaldy Torres 777. Singson compiled 412 and Thong Asuncion 327. Ruben Babasa 799, Atoi Ramos 709, and Reynald Medina 677, Lope Ramirez 569, Danny Nabong 567 and Jove Marano 348 scored for Nadec.
Elsewhere, Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed beat Sweet Angel Viper, mentored by Angel Caasi, 20-14; Team Irene, mentored by Dong Yamco, won over Thales of Ryan Inigo 19-12, and FBGR Selection of Mike Ecalnir drew with United Global of Jeff Nierva 2-2 (16-16 points).
