For the second time in three weeks in leagues organized by Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah perfect 300 game found a new owner in Majid Aslani.

Following the lead of Randy Mata during the OSN Saturday league, Aslani shot 12 strikes in a row during his team Purefoods Hotdog’s second game to steal some of the thunder from JP Gilas that notched back-to-back Team of the Week awards in the 14th session in the FTBJ-ICBL 34th Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.

Jeanette Cerbito doubled the joy of Gilas after she claimed the ladies Bowler of the Week award on 676.

Gilas and Purefoods tallied 43 and 38 points respectively to set the stage for their potentially strong matchup this Friday.

Defending champion Alliance in Motion Global pooled 33 points with Hidada Ltd. and GM Pin Pals tied on 32.

Lucky Strike came through with 27 points, while D’ Frontiers avoided going under 20 with 25 points.

Pin Crushers compiled 16 points, Sky Freight-TFC had 13 while the last two teams, D’ Barkads and Lance & 3rdy, posted 8 and 6 points.

In another fluent display of pin-toppling Gilas nearly swept the first-place points of 11 during the four-phase session, and when it was done its total was just 1 point shy of the perfect score of 44.

Along with Cerbito Jimmy Urbano was most productive player at Gilas with 681 on lines of 197, 204 and 256.

Lou Punzalan and Zaldy Bacero both enjoyed strong performances for Gilas with rounds of 617 and 612, while Paolo Allego aded 194-182 and Rene Punzalan 210.

Majid, the Jeddah-based coach of Saudi Bowling Federation, capped his outstanding individual peformance by winning the men’s Bowler of the Week plum, sandwiching his 300 with 248 and 204 for the high series of 752.

Purefoods captain Igna Salgado hit 593, while from the distaff side Marie Gumpal carded 559 and Len-Len Berina had 539. Cesar Monares contributed 197-253 and Nick Gozun made 225.

Leading Alliance was the trio of Jim Mandingiado 600, Gail Mata 587 and Michelle Mata 567. Cris Villavelez tossed in 560, Bonnie Garcia added 193-165 and Randy Made 221.

For Hidada, the main scorers were Grace Siasoco 564, Jun Palacios 557, Romy Bunagan 535 and Pinky Acato 493.
