JEDDAH: Manila Hotdog of Loue Ghazi beat Khalidia Knights 76-69 in the 40 & above division game for third and place in the PEAK-JBL basketball tournament at the ALBAIK court here in Khalidia District.

Manila Hotdog showed steady offense in the final quarter as Khalidia Knights tried hard to keep their rivals at bay. Elmer Byian scored 20 points for Manila Hotdog and was adjudged as PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player of the game while Abayon had 15 points for Khalidia Knights.

RJW Juffali Wed Group defeated Desert Warriors 93-89 at the start of the best-of-three championship series for the 40 & Above division. RJW Juffali Wed Group applied good defense in the whole game as Desert Warriors known for their outside snipping missed important free throws. A crucial 6 missed free throws in the final 2 minutes of the game gave RJW Juffali Wed Group its first win. Jameel Cobre top-scored with 23 points for RJW Jufalli Wed Group and was adjudged as JBL best player of the game while Hermogenes chipped in 21 points for the Desert Warriors.

Knights of coach Glenn Musngi beat Tropang Bakhs 96-84 for third place in the Non-Rated Group B division. Knights played good defense all game long as Tropang Bakhs managed by Duds Ballinan showed good teamwork in the whole game. Knights applied run-and-gun offense in the final quarter to break Tropang Bakhs defensive pattern. David led Knights 22 points and was adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player of the game while Nabong scored 24 points for Tropang Bakhs.

IKEA of Ahmed Harris Penaranda defeated Magma Bloods by default during their knockout game for third place in Non-rated Group A division. Magma Bloods was late for the game and the grace period expired so that IKEA was automatically declared the winner.
