Saturday leaguers swung back to action after a long holiday break and league leader MC Hammer claimed Team of Week honors during the 13th session in the OSN-FTBJ 49th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

Save for a third game dip in form Hammer was all business on the way to compiling the top tally of 41 points.

Bowling City was four points adrift on 37 points with Sky Freight-OSN one point further back on 36.

Red Dragons tallied 33 points in fourth place on the night folowed by Habagat 30.5, AFM-Moe 29 and Bank AlJazira Fawri 28.5.

Romblon Marvels and Kabalen were on 24 and 21 respectively while Taurus Amigos brought up the rear on 20.

Melvin Lising made the Hammer’s first game back from the holidays a double joy when he rolled the high series of 654 to become the Bowler of the Week.

Lising was part of a Hammer five-man team rotation that had Shams Mustafa on 648, Rene Punzalan on 611, Zaldy Bacero on 595 and Dylan Ilagan on 561.

Majid Aslani shot 640 to be at the helm of Bowling City. Providing Aslani a good backup were Dan Ednave 595, Igna Salgado 551, Mohd. Amri 550 and Gerry Mandanas 532.

Defending champion Sky Freight, finding a way to break into the top three in an increasingly tough campaign, drew the top score of 600 from Goying Salazar along with the 590 from Bonnie Garcia, 568 from Cris Villavelez, 567 from James Galvan, 167-183 from Pancho Cuevas and 166 from Glean Sibag.

Ally Bin was among those to break 600 at 621 while leading the Red Dragons who also got 572 from Cesar Pagtalunan, 537 from Bash Langa, 535 from Jack Jarin, 520 from Tom Langa and 518 from August Tendero.

For Habagat Jun de Dios came through with the leading score of 612 to go with the 542 by Med Ramos, 531 by Gerry Tano, 172-213 by Archie Satos, 179-159 by George Mangaliman and 132-165 by Manny Tibay.

Also breaking 600 was Romblon Marvels’ Nizar Mohamad on 617.
