MC Hammer joined Bank AlJazira in the list of early Team of the Week winners following a strong performance during the second week of the OSN-FTBJ 49th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Jeddah Lanes here.

MC Hammer practically ran away after winning the first two games and posted the top tally of 44 points.

AlJazira was 7 points adrift on 37 with the Red Dragons four points farther back on 33. AFM-Moe was fourth on the day with 32 points followed by Habagat 31.5, Kabalen 29 and Sky Freight-TFC 25.5.

Geely Cars pooled 24 points, Taurus had 22 while Jeddah Lanes, Fineboyz Rhinos and SPBC Bowlers filled the last three places on 17, 13 and 4 in that order.

Francis Guron was easily the best individually to become the Bowler of the Week in this Saturday night five-man team league event. Guron shot the high series of 704 on lines of 183, 231 and 245.

MC was so efficient on this night the team had four players crossing the 600-series mark, led by Zaldy Bacero on 687. Richard Junio rolled 632, Melvin Lising tossed in 621 and Dylan Ilagan made 618. Rene Punzalan contributed valuable two games of 234-190 with Jhun Estefano rounding out the scoring on 178.

Playing make-up games, AlJazira in addition to Guron’s 704 drew 603, 582 and 529 from the trio of Jowet Carion, Luis Luna and Ariel Urquia to go with the 195-213 by Randy Mata and 184 by Atoi Cruz.

Bash Langa was the top scorer at Red Dragons on 636 followed by Steve 561 an Jurmain Juripae 558. Getting on board with two games each were Cesar Pagtalunan 193-183, August Tendero 149-201 and Thong Langa 158-205.

Tommy Kamal and Cesar Monares were among those to top 600 as they led AFM-Moe with rounds of 640 and 624. Ding Dela Rosa added 575, Nonie Yap 514, Mao Orolfo 185-196 and Obie Ycasas 159.

Habagat had Jimmy Aragones leading the way on 659. Manny Tibay at 548 and Edris Mangoda at 518 likewise went the distance for Hibagat which also got 189-161 from George Mangaliman and 214 from Leo Edejer.
