JEDDAH: My Care Hala Premier crushed My Care Hala Blazer by 185 runs to lift the Ace Premier Division Cup for the first time, organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.
Earlier this season, MCH Premier won the SPL and Kanoo titles.
Premier took the wicket first after they won the toss. However, they got off to a bad start as they lost the early wicket of Qamar Awan in the second over. Thereafter Irfan and Kashif took over the mantle and put on 112 runs partnership for the second wicket. Irfan was the more aggressive as he hit a quick-fire 73 off 28 balls. Kashif, contended to play second fiddle, scored 76 runs off 48 balls.
After the departure of the duo, there was a middle order collapse with the wickets of Shahbaz, Imran, Naeem and Abu Huraira. However, a late flourish by Usman with some powerful hitting scored an unbeaten 44 runs off 12 balls boosted MCH Premier tally to 246 for 7 after 20 overs. Asim and Rizwan were the pick of the bowlers as they took 3 for 58 and 3 for 49 respectively.
The total proved too much for MCH Blazers who lost wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 61 runs off 9 overs. Nadeem top-scored with 37 runs. None of the other batsmen entered double figures as they found the rival bowling attack too hot to handle.
