RIYADH: Mehran will take on Super Cricket Club in the final of the Static Zone Super League Twenty20 cricket tournament, organized by the Riyadh Cricket League.

In the semifinals at the RCL Complex, Mehran got the better of Pakhtoon Khawah by 30 runs while Super Cricket Club struggled-past Game Pro by 20 runs.

The Premier-I final will be played between Sager and JAMIAA while Kokan Green will clash with PTI in the Premier-II final.

In the other semifinals played at the same venue, JAMIAA routed Riyadh Blues by 9 wickets while Sager beat OSN Warriors by 5 wickets. PTI ousts Pak Cricket Club by 6 wickets while Kokan edged past Cricketers Club by 2 wickets in Premier-II semis thriller.

The highlights of the day were, a five-wicket haul by Imran Khan of JAMIAA.

Fakhar, Mumtaz, Baber and Sharjeel were the other bowlers who impressed.

Mohammed Hussain, Farhan, Sifiyan, Shahid and Faik Ali dazzled with the bat.

In the first semis of the Super League, Mehran set their rivals a target of 205 runs.

Mohammed Hussain (58) and Ibrahim (87) provided a good opening stand of 126 runs. Akhtar Zaib made 15 runs. Basharat and Altaf took a wicket each.

In reply Pakhtoon Khawah failed to reach the target and could make only 174 runs in their allotted overs. After losing Arshad’s wicket early, Khalid (43) and Farhan (56) offered some resistance, which was not good enough as the all the other batsmen failed to put up a fight. Fakhar bowled well and claimed 4 wickets whereas Mumtaz took 3.

Man-of-the-Match: Ibrahim.

In the other semis, Super put on board 158 runs. Rashid Mirza (17), Shahid (47) and Kashif (43) were the main run getters. Sharjeel claimed 4 wickets.

In reply Game Pro crumbled for 138 runs. Majed was the only batsman who played with confidence and scored 39 runs. No other batsmen could face Super bowlers and fell like ninepins. Baber did most of the damage and bagged 4 wickets.

Man-of-the-Match: Shahid.

Earlier, Riyadh Blues set a light target of 133 runs for JAMIAA. Sufiyan (52) well, Rizwan (21) and Yousuf 15 were the main scorers. Imran Khan bowled excellenty and took 4 wickets while Mustak got 2.

In reply JAMIAA achieved the target off 17 overs. Thanks to Mustak’s unbeaten innings of 80 runs. He was supported by Izaz’s 47 runs.

In the other semis, OSN put up 143 runs. Zahiruddin Khalid top-scored with 42 runs. Amer Mustafa and Faizan scored 21 runs each. Salman did most of the damage and claimed 5 wickets whereas Attaur Rahman took 3 and Wasim 2.

In reply Sager CC achieved their target after 12.3 overs. Zakariya (33), Ziaurrehman (14), Asad (21), Waseem (22) and Salman Shahid (34) were the main contributors. Zaheeruddin Khalid bagged took 3 wickets.

First Premier-II League semis, Pak CC made 133 runs. Talal (39) and Waseem’s (37) good opening stand of 62 runs could not help Pak CC to post a reasonable target. Aziz bowled well and took 3 wickets.

In reply PTI reached their target after 16 overs. Shahid was in good form and scored 62. Ejaz (25) and Irfan Khan (15) were the other scorers. Raheel took 2 wickets.

The other semis was a thriller as Cricketers made 177 runs. Aameer (46), Zeeshan (47) and Asad (37) were among the runs. Manoj took 3 wickets and Faheem 2.

In reply Kokan achieved the target off 17.1 overs. Faik Ali was the highest scorer with 54 runs. Manoj (14), Sameer (19), Mansoor (16), Faheem (17) and Buhari (12) were the other scorers. Wasir and Aameer took 2 wickets each.
