JEDDAH: Ric Nangel and Mildred Florentino earned their places on the Bowler of the Month honor roll by winning their respective divisions during the OFBC monthly tournament for August recently at the Ice Land Bowling Center.

Nangel rolled a winning two games with handicap total of 430 pinfalls in the men’s division to finally make it after falling short in the June competition where he finished runner-up to champion Christopher Sayson.

July winner Alexander Duma had a chance for back-to-back victories but had to settle for first runner-up on 400, with Tommy Kamal second runner-up on 395 and Doods Verzosa third runner-up on 374.

Beginning bowler Florentino, banking on her rich handicap, emerged runaway ladies champion on 402.

Edna Brusset finished first runner-up on 344, while Gemma Zuniga and Marlyn Mangunay rounded out the ladies winners for August on 336 and 328.

Winners in both divisions received cash prizes in the series that culminates in the Bowler of the Year finals in December sponsored by Zikato Construction through Operations Manager Cesar Alberto Zuniga.
