JEDDAH: Natco, ARM and Ace Travels scored comfortable wins during the fifth week of the Premier Division League, morning session, sponsored by Ace Travels & Tours and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association, here.

Natco routed Caravan Travels by 62 runs, ARM breezed past Tamer by 7 wickets while unbeaten Ace Travels defeated Desert Warriors by a huge margin of 166 runs.

In the Division I league, Butt Sports got the better of MHA by six wickets, KAIA beat Kashmir-XI by 11 runs. In the previous week, Ittehad-XI surprised Butt Sports by 23 runs.

In the first match, Natco batted first and made 206 for 3 in their allotted overs. Skipper Humayun Farooq struck timely knock of 68 runs. Nazim Ali equally played well and made 57. Others who contributed were Faisal (21) and Ali (14). Jameel, Kaleem and Amer had one wicket each for 42, 49 and 16 runs respectively.

In reply the Caravan Travels could manage 144 for 6. Mohammed Akram (37) and Amer (49) tried to make a fight. Faisal was the most successful bowler with 5 for 32.

In another match of the same division, Tamer elected to bat first and slumped to 134 for 8. Athar (27), Rayees (29) and Urooj (19) were the main scorers. Zeeshan took 3 for 21 while Sami Khan bagged 2 for 25, ARM reached their target 136 for 2. ARM opening batsman Tabraiz scored an unbeaten knock of 102 runs. Wicketkeeper batsman Athar Ali contributed 23 runs.

Elsewhere, ACE won the toss and piled up 305 for 5. Opening batsman Abdul Wahid (48) his opening partner Shahzad Ahmed (40), Maqsood (50) and Rashid (107) were the main contributors. Ashfaq got 4 for 59 and Shaaban 2 for 44. Desert Warriors slumped to139 for 9. Khalid (25), Ashfaq (47) and Junaid (20) did their best. Iftekhar had 2 for 18, Bilal 1 for 37, Shahzad 1 for 23, Maqsood 1 for 22, Abdul Wahid 1 for 4.

KAIA, Butt Sports score

In the division I matches for the Reel & Rom Cup played during the third week, KAIA struggled to get past Kashmir-XI by 11 runs, Butt Sports had no problems to get past MHA by 6 wickets. In the previous week Ittehad-XI had surprised Butt Sports by 23 runs.

MHA batted first could muster only 143 for 9. Saif (35) and Riaz (10) could reach the double figures. Veteran all-rounder Javed Butt was the wrecker in chief as he had figures of 4 for 19 while got Adil 2 for 22.

Butt Sports reached their target 146 for 4. Javed (46), Umar (19), Waqas (21) and Javed Butt (20) were the main scorers. Zia bagged 2 for 25.

KAIA made a respectable 218 for 7. Amin (64), Majid Riaz (54), Bilal (35) and Danish (42) were the run getters. Sami had 3 for 32, Nadeem 2 for 22. Kashmir-XI managed to reach 207 for 8. Nadeem (32), Gowhar (44), Danish (42) and Sabir (22) did their best but could not reached the victory target.

Ehsan had 3 for 21 while Majid got 3 for 43.

In the previous week’s match Ittehad-XI were all out for 188. Azam (76) and Waheed (44) were the main scorers. Waqas took 3 for 46 while Ejaz got 3 for 29. Butt Sports could reach 165 for 5 in their allotted overs. Junaid top-scored with 54. Umar 31 and Javed Iqbal 21 are the other successful batsmen. Bukhtiar took 2 for 24 while Nasir got 2 for 25.
