SHANGHAI: Mirza Teletovic sank a 3-pointer with less than a minute remaining to lift the Brooklyn Nets to a 97-95 preseason win over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday in the first of two NBA exhibition games to be played in China this year.

The Kings had a chance to tie the score with 20 seconds remaining, but Sergey Karasev blocked a jumper by Ben McLemore beneath the rim as time expired.

Brook Lopez led the Nets with 18 points and six rebounds and Deron Williams added 12 points and six assists. Teletovic and Jarrett Jack had 10 points apiece.

The Kings were led by Ramon Sessions off the bench with 18 points and Darren Collison with 15.

Gasol, Butler lead Bulls over Bucks 91-85

In Milwaukee, Pau Gasol scored 20 points, Jimmy Butler added 18 and the Chicago Bulls picked up their first win in three preseason games, beating the cold-shooting Milwaukee Bucks 91-85 on Saturday night.

Derrick Rose had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes for the Bulls. Gasol grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Bulls jumped to a 10-0 lead and never trailed. Chicago shot 42 percent, compared with 35 for Milwaukee, which fell to 1-2.

Larry Sanders, who struggled with off-court issues and injuries last season, continued his early resurgence, leading the Bucks with 14 points while grabbing eight rebounds. ZaZa Pachulia had 12 points and 11 boards.

Jabari Parker, the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, had 11 points in his debut on the Bucks’ home court.

Milwaukee forward Ersan Ilyasova made his preseason debut after missing the first two games with the flu and shot 4 of 20.

Conley’s 23 points lead Grizzlies past Hawks 93-88

In Memphis, Tennessee, Marc Gasol had 21 points and 13 rebounds, Mike Conley added 23 points and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Atlanta Hawks 93-88 on Saturday night in their preseason home opener.

The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by double figures. The Hawks were within 91-88 with under a minute left, but Conley’s 19-footer with 32 seconds left closed out the scoring.

Zach Randolph had 10 points and eight rebounds for Memphis. Vince Carter, who signed a free-agent deal with the Grizzlies, saw his first action of the preseason, playing just under 13 minutes and scoring nine points, making a pair of 3-pointers.

John Jenkins led the Hawks with 15 points, while Dennis Schroder added 14, including 10 in the fourth quarter, to keep Atlanta close. Shelvin Mack had 11 points and eight assists, while Mike Scott finished with 10 points.

Knicks beat Celtics for 1st preseason win

In Uncascville, Connecticut, Carmelo Anthony scored 16 points and the New York Knicks earned their first victory of the preseason Saturday with a 96-80 win over the Boston Celtics.

J.R. Smith added 14 for New York (1-1), while Tim Hardaway Jr. and Cleanthony Early had 11 apiece off the bench. The Knicks lost to the Celtics in nearby Hartford on Wednesday.

Smith hit consecutive 3-point field goals late in the third period, helping the Knicks increase the lead to 78-64 heading to the fourth. Boston got no closer than four in the final period.

Jared Sullinger and Marcus Thornton scored 15 points apiece for Boston (2-2), which lost for the second time in two nights.

Brandon Bass scored 12 points for the Celtics and Evan Turner added 11.

The Knicks shot 54 percent in the first half and led 53-47 at halftime.
