RIYADH: Pakhtoon Khawa, Mazaya Hyderabad and Pure health emerged champions in the Riyadh Cricket League cricket tournament for the Twenty20 Cup organized by Riyadh Cricket League at the RCL Complex.

The six-week long event was dedicated to Patron in Chief, Prince Sultan bin Nasser.

In the Super Division Pakhtoon Khawa scored an easy eight-wicket win over Game Pro. The Premier-I division title went to Hyderabad boys who routed Run Riderz by 93 runs and in the Premier-II Pure Health breezed past United XI by 52 runs.

In the Super Division, Game Pro batted first and put up a reasonable 197 for 6. Moizuddin was the highest scorer with 38 runs followed by Imran’s 28. Arshad did most of the damage as he claimed 3 crucial wickets. Farmaan supported him with 2.

In reply, Pakhtoon Khawa easily reached their target after 17 overs. Thanks to the consistent Yusuf Haroom who top-scored with 84 runs. Arshad supported him with a valuable 44 runs. Sadiq and Dilshad shared 2 wickets.

In the Premier Division-I, Mazaya made first use of the track and scored 186 runs. Asghar was the highest run-getter with 83 runs followed by Fayyaz Masri’s 34. Sameer bagged 3 wickets. In reply Run Riderz failed to put up a fight and collapsed for 93 runs. Thanks to some superb bowling performances from Mazaya boys’ Ismail and Waseem who took three wickets each. Asim managed 20 runs for Riderz.

Man-of-the-Match: Asghar.

Later, Pure Health Pure Health batted first and put on board 214 runs. Imran scored an unbeaten 91 runs supported by Suhaib with 44 runs. Amjad was the only bowler who bowled a tight length and scored 2 wickets. In reply United gave a good fight initially, then succumbed to pressure and folded for 162 runs. Habeeb scored 42 and Azhar 27 runs. Omer took two wickets and all the other bowlers managed 1 wicket each.
