RIYADH: Pakistan International School Riyadh, Nasriya, and International Indian School Riyadh scored comfortable wins in the Inter-School Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket League.

Being played RCL cricket complex, PISR routed Royal Academy of Cricket (Combined Schools-XI) by 159 runs in the under-19 section. In the under-16 category, IISR eased past RAC (Combined Schools-XI) by 44 runs.

Highlight of the day’s play was, PISR Faisal Khan’s 121 runs. Other good batting performances came from Aakefin, Ammad and Maaz. Umer and Easa excelled with their bowling performances and Saud dazzled as an all-rounder.

In the first match PISR elected to bat first and put on board 267 runs in their allocated overs. Faisal Khan was the man in form as he slammed 121 runs. He was supported by Yasir (24), Umer (34) and Abdulrehman (27). Ahmed, Sufiyan and Saad took a wicket each.

In reply RAC Combined Schools XI collapsed for 108 runs. Obaid (27), Saad (27) Ahmed (14) and Talha (11) were the main scorers. Umer bowled well and claimed 3 wickets. Abdulrehman and Majid took 2 wickets each.

Man-of-the-Match: Faisal Khan.

In the other match, IISR put up a total of 179 runs. Aakefin (49) and Ammar (34) provided an opening start of 98 runs. Mukul (16), Razil (26) and Saud (19) were the other contributors. Anas took 2 wickets. Affan, Zavair, Moid and Maaz claimed a wicket each.

In reply RAC were bowled out for 145 runs. Maaz (30), Talha (25), Nawaz (23), Akif (23) and Zavair (13) tried to make a fight of it. Easa bowled well and claimed 3 wickets, Saud got 2.
