RIYADH: Pakistan International School Riyadh-Nasriya (under-19) and International Indian School Riyadh (under-16) emerged champions in the Inter-School cricket tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket League.

In the finals played at the RCL Complex, the PISR-N got the better of Royal Academy of Cricket, Combined Schools XI by 34 runs. In the other final, IISR beat PISR-N via the bowl out after the match was tied during the stipulated overs and the Super Over.

In the under-19 final, Faisal Khan’s 122 runs helped PISR-N put on board 226 runs. Faisal was supported by Yasir (36) and Umer (35). Ali took 2 wickets. In reply RAC Combined Schools XI failed to reach the target and made 192 runs in their allocated overs. Hilal top-scored with 54 runs. He was supported by Saad (32) and Talal (37). Faisal did most of the damage and claimed 5 wickets while Omer took 3.

Man-of-the-Match: Faisal Khan.

In the under-16 final, IISR put on board 164 runs in the allotted overs. Aakefin played well and scored 66 runs. Sharif (18), Mukul (24) and Saud (19) were the other contributors. Waleed, Shahzad and Haider claimed 2 wickets each. In reply PISR-N tried their best but fell short resulting in a tie. Haseeb led the run chase with 65 runs. Abdullah (40) and Waleed (30) were the run getters. Safwan claimed 3 wickets. Mukul, Saud and Aamir took a wicket each. In the Super over IISR made 9 runs. In reply PISR-N also made 9 runs, which resulted in another tie. Finally it was decided via bowl out where in IISR won.

Prize distribution was attended by Mamoor Elahi, Sadiq-ul-Islam, Rahat Ali Chaudhry, Miro Kovacik and other guests.
