RIYADH: The Royal Academy of Cricket has selected an 18-member squad, which will take part in the Inter School’s under-16 cricket tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket League.

Twenty-four schoolboys took part in the two-day selection trials under the watchful eyes of coaches, Arslan Mushtaq, Abeed Farooqi and Shameer Ahmed Bawa.

RAC will play their first match on Dec. 14. Aasif Sheikh, director of operations said, “This tournament will be a starting point for the youth and RAC will help them to compete and gain experience. Once the kids start their regular training sessions, they will see improvement in their game”.

Patron in chief of RAC, Shahzad Alam Siddiqui said, “I am pleased with the efforts by the RAC management and wished the team all the best. He also hoped that the youngsters make an impact in the tournament”.
