DAMMAM: Riyadh Cricket Association scored a thrilling five-run win over Easter Province Cricket Association as part of the annual Intercity event, held here.

Four matches were played between these two associations, RCA emerged winner 3-1.

In first match, RCA won the toss and put up a reasonable 196 for 6 against EPCA. Skipper Nadeem Babar showed the way and played a captain’s knock of 74. Abdul Salam also gave him good support with a well-made innings of 62, which came off 28 balls.

Asif Mughal was the pick of the bowlers for EPCA with figures of 3 for 26.

EPCA stared aggressively but lost wickets in quick succession. Naveed (54), Ansar (32), Monawar (24), Qaiser (21) and Iftikhar (21) were the main scorers. Irshad Mubashir picked 3 wickets and Nadeem Babar 2.

Man-of-the-Match: Nadeem Babar.

In the other match, RCA Youth thrashed EPCA Youth by 10 wickets. EPCA Youth was restricted to 113 for 7.

Abdul Rahman Fazal picked 2 wickets.

RCA Youth XI raced to the target in 9.1 overs. Openers Faisal Khan and Hisham Sheikh remained unbeaten on 79 and 32 respectively.

In another thriller, RCA President XI beat EPCA White by 16 runs. RCA President XI scored 215 for 8 thanks to a century stand by the openers Tila Yusafzayi and Hamza Abbasi who hit 66 and 63 runs respectively. After the loss of the openers, Amin Bakhti (24) and Arsalan Mushtaq (23) played well.

Usman and Wasay picked 2 wickets each for EPCA.

EPCA White fought hard but fell short of target by 16 runs. Kanan added 36 and Mohsin 33. Tila Yusafzayi picked 3 wickets.

Man-of-the-Match: Tila Yusafzayi.

EPCA Blues beat RCA Chairman XI by 6 wickets for a consolation win. RCA Chairman XI scored 187. Saleem (45), Yassir (30) and Fiyaz (25). Waqas and Ahsan picked 2 wickets each.

EPCA Blues achieved the target in 17.4 overs. Mohsin (62), Saad (47), Nazim (23) and Tajamal (22).

Man-of-the-Match: Mohsin.

EPCA President Farhat Mahmood thanked RCA for visiting Dammam and congratulated RCA for their performance.

RCA CEO Nadeem Babar appreciated the EPCA executive committee members for the arrangements during the event.
