Red Dragons put away their fifth Team of the Week award as they put the finishing touches to the No. 1 spot while the battle for two other berths for the three outright finalists was thrown wide open after the 12th week in the OFBC 3 + 1 Friday Afternoon League 2nd Season at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

The league-leading Dragons ended the session on perfect 28 points following a 20-0 shutout of Pairs & Spares on total pinfalls of 1,664-1,491 and rank points of 8-2.

Versatile Guys had an automatic 20-0 match win against the bye team and, with total pinfalls of 1,637 for 5 rank points, finished on 25.

The Youngsters Revival and RJ Transient Houses, despite a defeat to Makati Foods 12-8, are threatening to dislodge The Replacement at No. 1 after compiling total win points of 20 and 14 respectively. Replacement could only make 7 in a 16-4 loss to the Youngsters.

Replacement has 214.0 points with two weeks left in the eliminations, RJ 213.5 and Youngsters 213.0.

Robert Stone of Makati Foods and Pairs’ Akang Victorino were the men’s and ladies Bowlers of the Week at 589 and 558 respectively.

Bash Langa and Tom Langa along with Arman Gamboa carried the Dragons at 575, 570 and 519 in that order.

Versatile Guys had the luxury to use four players with Tirso Bambalan and Joel Alegre completing three games on 546 and 513. Danny Atubang had 165 and Danny Franciso 148-169.

For Youngsters Vic Gonzales scored 557 and Rudy Valenzuela 496. Skipper Toto Lim shot 156-161 and Ryan Okol came through with 152.

The other scorers at Makati besides Stone were Archie Alcantara 547, Jameel Gabrera 150-190 and Gino Vallejos 178.
