On the 14th week of the Almarai-FBGR Sunday Bowling League 13th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center, RG512 for Clothes and Erwin Atienza won the awards for Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week.

The league, which takes a break for the winter and resumes Feb. 2, is sponsored by Almarai Company under the auspices of Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).

RG512 for Clothes mentored by Yasser Mohammed easily disposed of Thales Team of Ryan Iñigo 22-5 points in a 4-0 shutout.

Lefty Noel Marquez led RG512 by scoring 906, with great support from Rocky Manipon 814, Mohammed 790 and Edgar Buenaventura 752. Shakur Kamlian added 539 in three games played and Resty De Jesus 187 in one game. The scorers at Thales were Iñigo 827, Cheng Lambo 779, Ramon Chua 614 and Boy Mirando 583.

In another encounter, United Global edged Look Up boys 21-19 in a 2-2 match. Rookie bowler Atienza made it a double celebration for United when he bagged the Best Bowler of the Week award shooting the high series of 916. Sam Dotingco contributed 862, Joselito Santillan 817 and Jeffrey Sobrebiga 639 for United with Arnel Balaoro on 416, Clem Ojeda 413 and Romy Repia on 188. Joe Garrido led Look Up with 889 followed by Erwin Nacario 847, Rachel Tismo also 847, Edwin Atienza 829 and Andro Tismo 740.

FBGR Selection mentored by Mike Ecalnir walloped Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia 20-10. Main scorers were Omar Valdez 843, Joel Lambo 810, Benito Santos 752 and Mike Ecalnir 734. Emerson Mitra added 374 and Jojo Miraflor 362. Ruby Urrutia led Proshop on 797 followed by Butch Mateo 796, Vic Barazona 692 and Gerry Damiray 686. Ed Cruz had 407 and Ric Urrutia 349.

Carry Over of Lulu Quejada scored a narrow 16-15 points 2-2 escape against Team Irene of Dong Yamco. Leading scorers at Carry Over were Abdullah Amoudi 842, Dennis Gabriel 816 and Rodel Maranca 757. HRH MS had 703, Celis Viloria 387 and Nap Torres 382 in two games each played. Shawn Ricketts led Team Irene on 863 followed Irene Pua 827, KC Enriquez 785, Yamco 772 and Donjie Mapalad 675 points.

Elsewhere, Sweet Angel Vipers of Angel Caasi beat Look Almarai Co. of Jun Daniel 19-15, Alsalam Knights captained by Bandar Al-Marshad edged IBG Storm of Ric Singson 17-16, while Nadec Strokers of Lope Ramirez defeated Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed 21-12.
