DAMMAM: Nabeel Butt struck an unbeaten 50 as Bin Delamah Adpco scored a crushing eight-wicket victory against Altuwairqui Green Cricket Club during the second week of the EPCA Twenty20 Challenge Cricket Cup, sponsored by SCC.

Batting first, Altuwairqi Green could only muster a total of 93 with Aftab (28) and Asghar Malik (23) being the main contributors.

For Bin Delamah, Hashmim Sawati bowled captured 4 for 23 and Imran Khan 3 for 30.

In reply, Bindelamah Adpco achieved the target scoring 94 for two off 9 overs. Nabeel Butt scored unbeaten 52 and Tanveer got 21 runs.

Daniyal and Usman Khan stroked unbeaten half centuries as Khobar Badshah secured a convincing nine-wicket victory over Saipem Cricket Club. Put into bat, the Saipem were restricted to 115 runs. Naveed Habib was the top scorer with 33. Asif Ashraf was the main wrecker and claimed 3 for 22.

In reply Khobar Badshah were home in 8.3 overs for the loss of one wicket. Daniyal was unbeaten with 56 off 28 balls. Opener Usman Khan scored 50, which included 7 fours and 2 sixes.

Harley Davidson registered a 142-run victory against Binzagar CC.

Batting first, Harley Davidson scored 251 runs for the loss of six wickets as a result of fine innings by Akram Qadri (83) and Yaser Mahmood (43 not out). Khaleel claimed 4-42 runs. In reply, Binzagar were restricted to 72 fro nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Amanullah (44) was the top scorer. Tajammal Hayat grabbed four wickets for 20 runs.

In a high scoring match, Maroj KGC defeated SST Blues by four wickets. Batting first, SST Blues posted a respectable 236 for six wickets off 20 overs. Opener Kashif Riaz blasted 143 runs off 63-ball knock. For Maroj KGC Rizwan Haider claimed 2 wickets for 45 runs. Rizwan Haider also led the Maroj KGC reply with an unbeaten 87 whilst Waheed Malik chipped in with a half century of his own. Maroj KGC victory was eventually achieved in the 19th over for the loss of six wickets.

Fine batting by Raza Abbas (60) helped Al Ghamdi XI to emerge as the top team of their pool after beating Tamimi CC by 26 runs.

Making first use of the pitch, Al Ghamdi scored 210 for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Salman Butt also batted well to make 45 off 20 balls. Imran claimed three for 25.

In reply, Tamimi were restricted to 184 for 8. Tahir contributed 48, which included 5 fours while Ibrar struck four boundaries in making 43. Bilal Butt and Tariq Tanveer of Al Ghamdi picked up two wickets each.

Aims Bindelamah narrowly defeated Team Abbasi by 10 runs. Batting first, Aims Bindelamah made 184-4 off 20 overs. Waseem Malik hammered 11 fours in scoring 65 while Tapas hit 50 off 30 balls with eight boundaries. Team Abbasi replied with 174-8 in 20 overs. Their main scorers were Farruk (76) and Yaseen (23).

In another close match, Al Fatha CC downed Team Arabia by three wickets. Batting first, Team Arabia were bundled out for 140 off 19. 5 overs. Sunial was the top scorer with 37. Asif captured three wickets for 32. Al Fatha achieved their target off 18.1 overs through a Hannan 45 and Safiullah’s knock of 38.
