Eliminations in the 16th Annual Riyadh Inter-Hotels Cricket Tournament 2015 entered the 8th week with Ritz Carlton and Riyadh Conference Palace winning their matches at the Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers grounds.

In the morning match, Four Seasons Hotel won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening partnership of Shakeel and Obaid combined for 60 runs before both were caught by Faizan. Atif Younus then contributed 20 runs before he was caught by Raghu. The Four Seasons set a target of 142 for Ritz Carlton to win. Raghu was the best bowler for Ritz Carlton taking 3 wickets for 14 runs in 3 overs while Terence got 2 wickets with 12 runs in 3 overs.

After the departure of Ritz Carlton opener Raghu for only 15 runs and the replacement of Rameez, who was caught by Ashraf on 10 runs, Hafeez took over with a crushing hit of 56 runs including 5 sixes that set up Ritz Carlton’s victory and completed their chase of 143 in 12.1 overs not out. Hamza played also supportive innings of 36 runs with his 2 sixes and 2 fours before he was caught by Dave. Ritz Carlton won the match by 7 wickets. Four Seasons best bowler was Manshad, who took 2 wickets for 28 runs in 4 overs.

In the afternoon, Riyadh Conference Palace won the toss and invited Al Faisaliah Team B to bat first. At the outset Faisaliah B faced difficulties after its team captain Mohammed Salman went out with the total only 3 runs and his partner Saad also was out for a duck. Only Mayyar among the succeeding batsmen made an impressive innings of 22 runs so that Faisaliah B was all out in 109 runs. RCP’s Usman made a terrific bowling performance of 5 wickets with 14 runs in 4 overs. He was supported by Gulzaib (2 wickets for 8 runs in one over ) and Rafique (2 wickets and no run in one over).

The RCP reached the small target of 110 to win by 9 wickets in 4 overs. The opening pair of Sahib and Razzak was bowled out with only 5 runs though Sahib remained to score 50 and not out while his new partner Mubeen Tayyab added 39 runs toward the winning total. Faisaliah Team B’s best bowler was Zaheer .
