RIYADH: The Riyadh Conference Palace (RCP) emerged as the champion in the recently concluded 18th Inter-Hotels Cricket Tournament, beating Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers by six wickets in the final.

The players of the winning team were excited and waxed ecstatic for their feat of bringing home the championship trophy for which seven teams fought hard.

With their loss, the former champion Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers settled for first runner-up honors. Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh garnered second runner-up honors in the tournament.

Mohammad Rafik Noorduddin, team captain of the champion team, expressed happiness which he described as beyond words.

He also thanked his players for doing their best to clinch the victory in the tournament organized by Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers.

RCP’s Nawafal Abdullah romped off with the Man of the Match honors while Kudur Mohamed Asif of InterContinental Hotel Riyadh was named Player of the Tournament.

Sheraton GM Gerald Chevasson attended the championship match.

Trophies were distributed to the players of the two teams which figured in the championship match.

The semifinalists in the tournament were InterContinental Hotel, RCP, Ritz Carlton Hotel and Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers.
