JEDDAH: RTJ Transient House enjoyed another strong performance to claim back-to-back Team of the Week honors during the second session in the OFBC Friday Afternoon League Season 6 at the Iceland Bowling Center.
Transient House of Rudy “RJ” Jamon emerged an easy 20-0 winner over Toto Lim’s The Youngsters, and with the rank points it totaled increased to 10 following the addition of two more teams in the field the early league leader went perfect 30 for the second straight week.
Also winning by shutouts were Ryan Liwagon’s Toshi over Al Tayyer United Contracing Co., captained by OFBC Commissioner Joel Nidoy, and Shadow Bowlers over Arci 5.
Toshi and Shadow Bowlers finished the session on total gain points of 26 and 24.
Nilobabes tallied 25 on the day after beating Wag Naman 16-4 on tota pinfalls of 2,059 and 2,035. This match produced the week’s individual top performers in Nilobabes’ Nap Patayan and Marlyn Mangunay of Wag Naman whose respective series of 601 and 539 gave them the men’s Bowler of the Week and ladies Bowler of the Week awards.
In the other match, Saudi German Hospital of Dr. Mohammed Khattab defeated Velocity Strikers 14-6 (2,010-1,993).
RTJ Transient House carded the week’s highest total pifnalls of 2, 070 to dominate The Youngsters, as Malou Nidoy shot 533 to go with the 525 by Conrad Baltazar, 509 by Ed Cordova and 503 by Benj Espinosa.
Vic Gonzales and Gizelle Virtudazo compiled 514 and 504 in a losing cause for the Youngsters who returned total pinfalls of 1,913.
Rico Bulalayao and Rico Pagtalunan fired 560 and 515 at the helm of Toshi which also drew 478 from Cesar Sacramed and 443 fom Vivian Sacramed. Toshi totaled 1,994 pinfalls.
For Shadow Bowlers, Jhun Ejanda came up with the top score of 514. The other scorers were Edwin Agustin 480, Leo Apacible 477 and Hercie Bosito.
Delia Javing led Arci-5 on 519 with the Arciagas, Eli and Lita, contributing matching cards of 428s.
Besides Nap the other players that helped Nilobabes achieve victory were Sharmaine Patayan 526, Babes Yushimine 495 an Susan Patayan.
SGH used a six-man rotation led by the pair of Raquel 470 and Dr. Khattab 452. Gamal Matanog added 386, Shahid Salvador 331, Dan Garret Mojares 200 and Usop P. Abinal 171.
