Prince Khalid bin Saud Al Faisal is back for the 2014 Annual SABB Open Golf Tournament that tees off Friday at Dirab Golf & Country Club, hoping to reprise his super special performance that rewarded him with the Best Gross title in the 2012 edition of the event.
Along with a slew of Saudi golfers Prince Khalid, a fine single-digit handicap golfer, will be among the full field of 120 players teeing it up in the 8 a.m. shotgun start.
Prince Khalid shot a 1-over 73 on the challenging parkland course in winning his crown two years ago.
Wednesday, Prince Khalid played a practice round in preparation for the prestigious tournament that has long been a permanent fixture on the club’s calendar of events.
Coming on the heels of Lufthansa Open this year’s SABB Open format is 18-holes individual stroke play, which contains 3-divisions for men and one division for ladies, Longest drive for men, longest drive for ladies and closest to pin-unizex.
Upon registration players will each receive goody bag containing golf polo shirt, a sleeve of Pro VI balls and golf towel.
As Riyadh welcomes the arrival of cool weather participants are expected to enjoy themselves out on the course.
