JEDDAH: Sadafco became the fifth different team in as many weeks to hold Team of the Week honors following its remarkable display during the fifth week in the FTBJ-ICBL 37th Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.
Sadafco carded total pinfalls of 3, 757 marking the second straight week the 3,700-pinfalls mark had been broken.
Previous week honoree Pin Slashers successfully defended the lead a week after wresting it from JP Singco after shooting the second-best score of 3, 687, with Sky Freight-Virgin Mobile finishing third on the day with 3, 592 pinfalls.
Hidada Ltd. followed on 3, 558 while Virgin Mobile had 3, 505 and D’ Barkads 3,482.
Richard Antonio made it a Sadafco double when he ran off with the men’s Bowler of the Week award on 773 at the helm of his team’s charge that saw Yaser Hokbi and Pancho Cuevas complement Antonio’s effort on 685 and 637 respectively.
Danny Bautista added 554 and from the distaff side Sadafco drew 580 from Charrie Guzman and 528 from Grace Funtillon.
Pin Slashers though a distant second bowled well enough to not lose first place in the six-man team league event thanks to Rom Cagampang 664, May Lourdes 654, Rommel Agbayani 630, Daryl Loquias 608, Roger Daquiaog 589 and Matet Cavite 542.
Sky Freight-Virgin Mobile had the duo of Ryan Conde and Imelda Sayago coming up with the leading scores of 656 and 615. The other scorers were Oca Bernabe 590, Bonie Garcia 584, Babes Tiongson 578 and Goying Salazar 569.
For Hidada, the big numbers came from Nanding Siasoco 658, Grace Siasoco 627 and Amro Al Amri, with Pinky Acato on 588, Cesar Monares 548 and Romy Bunagan 525.
Virgin Mobile got a big lift from Mhon Laxamana 643 and Jojie Manalansan 620. Phil Raymundo just missed 600 by a few pins on 595, while Elsie Fernandez tallied 558 and Shirley Sagmit returned 523.
Rudy Valenzuela was the lone player at D’ Barkads to be in the neighborhood of 600 with his 645.
