JEDDAH: Sagmit Dental Clinic gunned down a rare grand slam, winning Team of the Week and the men’s and ladies Bowler of the Week awards during the 17th session in the

FTBJ-ICBL Sky Freight Forwarders League at the Bowling City here.

After a slow start, Sagmit Dental Clinic proceeded to hit the top tally of 42 points and beat out Steelers and Masaken for team honors. Steelers and Masaken returned 36 and 35 points respectively.

League-leading Sadafco came in fourth with 34 points on the day followed by ICBL Mix Insert 33, Hidada Ltd. 31 and D’ Barkads 25.

Rock n Roll and Al Murjana tied on 21 points with Par Excellence on 16. Sky Freight-OSN and Ceebee Aviation brought up the rear on 12.5 and 5.5 points.

Ric Reformado and Evelyn Santoc, team captain/coach and team manager respectively, both led from the front to claim the individual awards for SDC with sparkling rounds of 676 and 636.

June Estefano and Santoc’s daughter, Sherly Sagmit, had fun, too to shoot full series of 621 and 588 to go with the 202-227 by Ding Dela Rosa and 176 from Med Ramos.

Steelers got a big lift from he duo of Nato Gonzales and Grace Funtilon who carded 618 and 614. Michelle Mata also went the distance on 582 as did her father, Randy, who tallied 574. Nezar Mohd. added 257-229 and Ric Antonio 194.

Over at Masaken the quartet of Rey Beltran, Zaldy Bacero, Lourdes Punzalan and Jeanette Cerbito built the foundation of their team’s total on 622, 603, 605 and 581 in that order. Paolo Allego tossed in 267-187 and Rene Ocampo had 175.

For Sadafco Andy Yumena and Edwin Ronquillo had matching cardds of 634s that went with the 598 and 560 by Marissa Resano and Marie Gumpal, 212-173 by Igna Salgado and 209 by Gerry Mandanas.
