RIYADH: Sama Steel scored a thrilling last over two-wicket win over Lahore Badshah in a seventh round of the Al-Kharj League, sponsored by Saudi Orix Leasing Company and organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association here.

Lahore Badshah made first use of the track and posted a decent total of 334 for 9 off the stipulated 40 overs. Abdul Wahab was their star performer as he smashed 132 while Imran (52) and Yasir (45) gave his support. In reply, Sama Steel chased well and achieved their target with three balls to spare as they scored 337 for 8. Adbul Wahab grabbed 4 wickets.

In another match of the same league, Lahore Lions defeated Shouraim by 2 Wickets. Shouraim were bowled out for 241. Saifullha picked 3 wickets while Mansoor, Ubeid and Muzafar got 2 wickets each. Lahore Lions achieved the target off 34.2 overs. Thanks to Muzafar’s knock of 139. Sami scored 33. Shani took 3 while Rizwan and Saleem grabbed 2 wickets each.
