Sarawat Superstores became the first to be Team of the Week in consecutive weeks to pull well clear of the pack during the 14th session in the FTBJ-ICBL 32nd Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.

The back-to-back honors completed a third Team of the Week accolade in three weeks for Sarawat which returned the day’s top tally of 35 points.

It was not even close with Falcon and Lance & 3rdy both 5 points adrift on 30.

JM Derby compiled 29 points followed by D’ Barkads 11. Jeddah Lanes and Cristal Global tied on 21. Sky Freight-TFC, Hidada Ltd. and Jem Strikers tallied 16, 10 and 6 points at the bottom.

The individual race for Bowler of the Week went to Falcon’s Nonie Yap on the men’s side and D’ Barkads Cheryl Tibay on the ladies side. Yap rolled the high series of 691 on scratch lines of 278, 178 and 235 while Tibay shot her division’s top score of 580.

Except for a third game misstep where it tumbled to sixth place for 5 points everything went well for Sarawat, which won the first two games and had the top overall output.

At the forefrot of the Sarawat charge was Majid Aslani who fired a solid 620 on games of 225, 192 and 203. The ladies pair of Lourdes Punzalan and Marie Gumpal tossed in 567 and 558 to go with the 245-184 by Igna Salgado, 247-180 by Paolo Allego and 198-170 by Paul Antiporda.

In addition to Yap the others that helped Falcon on the day were Danny Bautista 578, Gary Raymundo 556 and Matet Cavite 548.

Lance had Ding Dela Rosa coming up with the day’s third highest score of 653. With two games each were Ric Reformado 203-166, Eidris Mangoda 189-171 and Med Ramos 196-172. Evelyn Santoc and Shirley Sagmit added 537 and 531.

The duo of Alex Flora and Nap Patayan led JM with 604 and 581 with Roger Daquioag and Jimmy Mandingiado sharing the remaining three games on the men’s side on 204-174 and 244 respectively. May Lourdes tallied 559 and Susan Patayan had 536.

With Tibay at D’ Barkads were Gerry Tano and Rey Beltran on 567 and 545, Thess Grandia 527, Rally Zamora 205-181 and Leo Edejer 181.

Cristal Global’s Bonnie Garcia owned the second highest score of 664.
