Steadily Sarawat Superstores has been building the foundation of a championship run in the FTBJ-ICBL 32nd Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.

Putting together another solid performance, Sarawat pulled off a Team of the Week and men’s Bowler of the Week double courtesy of Paolo Allego during the 13th session in the five-man team Friday afternoon league event.

Sarawat returned the top tally of 38 points ahead of its potential main rival for the title, Cristal Global, which pooled 36 points.

Falcon, which stole some of the attention in this session’s Sarawat-Cristal head-to-head for honors by winning the second game, compiled 30 points in third place on the day.

Hidada Ltd. came through with 24 points while JM Derby and Sky Freight-TFC tied on 20 points followed by Lance & 3rdy on 19.

D’ Barkads, Jeddah Lanes and Jem Strikers were the last three teams to check in on 14, 10 and 9 in that order.

Sky Freight’s Ellen Bernabe emerged the ladies Bowler of the Week after she made the top score of 594 on the distaff side.

Allego shot the high series of 686 on scratch lines of 279, 196 and 199 at the vanguard of Sarawat, which enjoyed a fast start on its way to increasing its lead over nearest pursuer Cristal at the top of the team standings.

Majid Aslani fired 624 to support jackpot prize winner Allego while Jimmy Urbano added 230-204 and Igna Salgado 169.

Lourdes Punzalan and Marie Gumpal contributed 572 and 530 in Sarawat’s scoresheet.

Winner of the third game, Cristal had Merlen Pamintuan notching the team’s top score of 595 with Zaldy Bacero on 572 and Lenlen Berina on 558. Randy Mata, Bonnie Garcia and Cesar Monares had two-game contributions of 229-244, 233-188 and 163-209.

Falcon, which had the most number of Team of the Week victories at 3 thus far, produced two players in Nonie Yap and Ed Labuac who were among the few to cross the 600-series mar. Yap scored 646, second best of the day, and Labuac tallied 610. Danny Bautista added 540.

For Hidada, Pinky Acato led the way on 568 followed by Grace Siasoco 543 and Nanding Siasoco 522.

Roger Daquioag joined the 600-series scorer at 630 in leading JM Derby.
