RIYADH: In keeping with the October tradition each year the Dirab Ladies Group last Wednesday organized the Ladies Pink Day Golf Tournament 2015.

The event had group members wear pink at the Dirab Golf & Country Club course to underline their support for the international breast cancer awareness month.

The champion in the two-person Texas Scramble format competition was the tandem of Monika Schiffer and Marika Kovacikova, who combined for a net score of 71. Their team handicap was 26.

The runner-up was the duo of Pera Hahn and Veiga Sigurdardottir on 73 and 31 handicap.

The awards for longest drive went to Paro Mukherjee, longest putt (49 feet) to Catherine Garroway and closest to the pin to Christ Roe.

Dirab Ladies captain Roberta Hobbbs handed over prizes to the winners at the end of the 18-hole tournament sponsored by Dirab Golf & Country Club.
