Powerhouse Saudi European Expo (SEE) and contenders Al Bustan, Al Hammadi and Nesma KAFD continued their brilliant performances during the second week in the 1st Maskan Arabia Invitational Basketball Tournament at Maskan Arabia labor compound court on the outskirts of Riyadh.

During Thursday’s games, Samama Co. surprised Al Yamama Warriors 79-71, Hammadi had a luckluster 88-86 win over Princess Nora Snappers, while heavily favored Saudi European Expo (SEE) overwhelmed Nesma (NEO) 91-66.

Samama limited the Warriors to 6 points while striking for 21 in the first quarter in a steady display of firepower led by A. Alparito with 20 points. Dondie Ranain added 12 poinst and Jaypee Aguilar 11 for Samama.

Hammadi jumped out to a 32-19 first quarter lead but had to repulse a strong display by the Snappers in the last two quarters to eke out the win.

A. Cabarrubias enjoyed another good scoring night for SEE with 30 points. L. Gomocay added 18 while M. Martin had 8 points.

Friday’s games saw Nesma KAFD outscore Maskan Arabia-Maintenance 59-55, Al Yamama Warriors avenge its first loss last Thursday by beating Maskan Arabia-Head Office 77-56.

Also, unheralded Hammadi team had an impressive 85- 63 triumph over Samama Contracting 85-63.
