Heavily favored to win the championship trophy, Saudi European Expo (SEE) scored back-to-back victories at the weekend over Princess Nora Snappers and Samama in the 1st Maskan Arabia Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Maskan Arabia Camp on the outskirts of Riyadh.

Thursday, SEE hammered out a 91-84 triumph over Princess Nora in the nigthcap of a triplebill. In other games, Al Bustan kept tits hopes alive by beating Safid 89-65 while Samama defeated Nesma KAFD.

SEE returned to the court the next day to complete a weekend double, demolishing Samama 94-71.

M. Martin scored 27 points, 14 of them in the third quarter where his team bunched 31 points, A. Cabarrubias had 24 an F. Omac added 20 as SEE had little trouble disposing of Samama.

Al Yamama Warriors brought down Hammadi 100-96, as Escobia pumped in 28 points including 5 three-pointers while Bundoc added 20, all in the second half.

Also scoring decisive victory Friday was Al Bustan which blasted Makan Arabia Head Office 72-67.Carlito Baslag top-scored for Bustan with 17 point.

In the other game Friday, Nesma NEO won a tight game against Safid 77-73. Reynaldo Lobero and Fred Batac led NEO to victory with 27 and 26 points respectively.

This year’s Organizing Committee members are George Abalorio, Edmund David, Rommel Macalit, Esikiel Gracia, Carlito Baslag, Lemuel Gomotay, Jessie and Bong Anulacion.
