Selections rebounded from a previous defeat in a big way, blanking opponent Troopers 20-0 and claiming a third Team of the Week award during the 9th session in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 4 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

Selections ended the day on 25 points including rank points of 5 from its total pinfalls of 2,509 in a performance that made up for a 20-0 defeat by league leading Taurus.

Cyclone was on 22 total after it crushed D’ Luf’s Strikers 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2,511-2,439 and rank points of 6-4, while Krau Thai Restaurant gathered 20 off its 17-3 rout of Zikato Strikers on total pinfalls of 2,397-2,382 and rank points of 3-2.

In the other match, Guardians Thunder and Taurus battled to a 10-10 draw but the former came away with a better total of 18 thanks to its leading total pinfalls of 2,610 that was worth the top rank points of 8. Taurus’ total pinfalls of 2,502 was good for rank points of 5.

The week’s top individual performers were Gilbert Salindong of Guardians and Margie Villasanta of Krau Tahai. Salindong shot the high series of 591 to become the men’s Bowler of the Week while Villasanta got the honor in the distaff side with her 512.

Leading the Selections was the pair of Rudy Ramos and Jhun Ejanda who tallied 487 and 486.

Christopher Sayson fired 514 at the helm of Cyclone which also drew 474 from Jack Jarin, 463 from Fatima Jintarat, 152-181 from Salic Mudac and 146 from Bash Langa.

Edu Toledo paced Krau Thai on 490 while Ed Labuac and Obet Vidonia shot matching cards of 485s.

Besides Salindong, Archie Alcantara and Ric Tibayan bowled well for Guardians on 522 and 500. Marlyn Mangunay had 493, Ross Isabiniano made 159-136 and Hyeth Achai added 120.

Jun Pamintuan and Olie Jacinto impressed with a 588 and 586 in taking charge at Taurus with Regino Mendoza on 527. Hadi Pacheco contributed 167-150 and Gil Catral tossed in 148.

Zikato Construction through Operations Manager Albert Zuniga is the tournament major sponsor.
