Selections earned back-to-back Team of the Week awards after posting another perfect score of 28 points during the sixth sesson in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 4 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

Selections gained the maximum possible score when they shut out Troopers 20-0 on total pinfalls of 2,536-2,253 and rank points of 8-1, and in the process duplicated their breakthrough feat the previous week.

Taurus was the second-best points getter on 25, as it continues to take command of the tournament entering the second round of eliminations. It crushed Cyclone 18-2 on total pinfalls of 2,625-2,440 and rank points of 7-3.

In other matches, Guardians Thunder beat Zikato Strikers 16-4 (2,368-2,430 5-2) and D’ Luf’s Strikes downed Krau Thai Restaurant 14-6 (2,575-2,458). Thunder totaled 21 points on the day and Luf’s had 21 in the tournament sponsored by Zikato Construction through Operations Manager Albert Zuniga.

Thea Busico made it a double for Selections when she won the ladies Bowler of the Week plum albeit she had to share it with Carmen Duma of Luf’s after they tied on 530. The same award for the men’s division went to Guardians’ Jeff Magallanes who rolled the high series of 563.

Louie Pasia and Jhun Ejanda complemented Busico’s award-winning effort at Selections with rounds of 542 and 526, while Lexter Atienza added 136-162, Rico Parcon 159 and Xtine Stone 172-125.

Over at Taurus, the trio of Jun Pamintuan, Fedelyn Bustinera and Jhoon Caisip carried the load on 537, 523 and 519. Backing them up with two games each were Edwin Ronquillo 148-178, Ric Nangel 145-143 and Regino Mendoza 148-176. Also, Fedelyn set a new record to beat for ladies high game scratch on 178 that supplanted the old mark of 174 Alice Penus established during the third week.

Besides Carmen the others that contributed in the Luf’s 5-man team gambit were Robert Guzman 551, Cromwel Marzo 521, Tirso Bambalan 516 and Alexander Duma 456.

Ric Tibayan shot 542 and Gilbert Salindong tallied 530 in support of Magallanes at Guardians who also drew 459 from Marlyn Mangunay and 141-139 from Archie Alcantara.
