JEDDAH: Selections completed another set of back-to-back Team of the Week victories and Cyclone handed leader Taurus only its second league defeat during the 10th week in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 4 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

In duplicating its feat on the fifth and sixth weeks, Selections ended the session with perfect score of 28 points following its 20-0 whitewash of Zikato Strikers on total pinfalls of 2,664 and 2,503.

Going better than its Team of the Week award-winning display the previous week, Selections made it a perfect double courtesy of Christine Stone who romped off with the ladies Bowler of the Week accolade on 532.

Cyclone became the second team after Selections to engineer the Taurus defeat, hacking out a 16-4 victory in their match that left Cyclone with the second-best total of the day of 23 points including the rank points of 7 from the total pinfalls of 2,631.

Krau Thai Restaurant also won by 20-0 shutout over Troopers on total pinfalls of 2,211-2,091 and rank points of 2 and 1.

In the other match, D’ Luf’s Strikers brought down Guardians Thunder 16-4 (2,631-2,566 7-6).

Krau Thai and Luf’s added 22 and 21 points to its running total in this five-man team league event with Luf’s cementing its grip on third place behind Taurus and Selections.

Jun Pamintuan had some consolation for his beaten Taurus team when he clinched the men’s Bowler of the Week plum on 578.

Rudy Ramos and Thea Busico complemented Christine’s effort at Selections with rounds of 527 and 494. Contributing two games each were Jhun Ejanda 212-142, Lexter Atienza 164-202 and Louie Pasia 129-154.

Leading the Cyclone charge was the duo of Tito Cruz and Bash Langa who fired 562 and 509 respectively.

For Krau Thai Jayme Luge led the way on 515 folllowed by Mao Orolfo 491, Ed Labuac 455 and Obet Vidonia 450.

Over at Luf’s it was Danny Atubang 434 and Carmen Duma that emerged the leading scorers.

Zikato Construction through Operations Manager Albert Zuniga is the tournament major sponsor.
