Defending champion Shabab-SABB, slowly recovering from previous losses, edged league leader Riyad Bank in total output to take home the Team of the Week honors during the 11th session in the Interbank Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (ITBR) league being played Monday nights at the Universal Bowling Center in Riyadh.

Shabab-SABB blanked SAIB in four games 390-0, with southpaw Arnold Jesena and Jerry Austria inspiring their teammates with solid rounds of 803 and 802. Jaffer Al Khatiri (760), captain Ahmed Qarquosh (722) and Mike Shariff (720) provided support to the leading duo.

In SAIB, captain Dong Calub was on top of his games with 764 four-game series while Eddison Austria had 679, Jonathan Avenido rolled 658, Joey Salem and Gil Catulay tallied 634 and 550 respectively.

Riyad Bank played at the same level as Shabab-SABB when it almost blanked Alinma Bank 390-30 and retained the top spot with a comfortable lead of 220 points against second placer BSF. Team captain Zohair Oqilan burned the lanes with his 775 four-game series. He was assisted by Sonny Alviso (758), Freddie Solomon (737) and Ric Singson (711) while Mixi Lechuga and James Frizzle rolled 387 and 362.

Straight bowler Angelo Train fired his best shots in Alinma Bank on 745. Captain Jojo de Silva and Jerry Barce added 732 and 647 respectively. Willie Bondoc tallied 518 in three games while Vic Agregado and Julius Alfonso had 352 and 332. Bobby Ting had 156 in one game.

Banque Saudi Fransi easily recovered from their first game loss to SAMA-Abana and defeated its opponent in the next three games 302-80. Straight bowler Dawood Sereno outbowled everyone else with a 814 series to claim the Bowler of the Week award while leading the BSF charge. Noel Morales and Edwin Timango backed up Sereno with 707 and 687. Angel Diaz Jr. rolled 574 while captain Jun Bantug and Yusuf Fernandez rtallied 365 and 306.

With only five players to work with, SAMA-Abana captain Teody Zulaybar was challenged by BSF with great difficulty in the last three games. He led his team with 735 four-game series followed by Koko Torres (692), Jun Macarandan (690), Bernie Torres (663) and Remy Generales (610).

In another exciting match, BSF-CBG blasted Saudi Hollandi Bank (290-80). The trio of Art Bumatay, captain Ken Hechanova and Abet Minosa carded 762, 761 and 754 four game series. Alfred Estrada and Guilbert Masias contributed 695 and 686 respectively.

In SHB, Clem Slazar (752) and Val Baraquio (737) failed to get enough support from other team members in the last three games of the match. Captain Greg Antonio and Gerry Ayonon tallied 688 and 688 respectively while Arnel Bernabe and Gil Hembra rolled 378 and 333.
