AL QASSIM: Sialkot Stallions thrashed Pak Al Dauliya by eight wickets in a one-sided final to bag the Al Qassim MoneyGram Championship organized by Saudi Cricket Center here in AQCL.

Pak Dauliya were asked to bat first by their opponents and were bowled out for 189. Sajid Cheema 40, Atif Ali 20, Mohammed Atteq 38 and Arshad 33 were the main run getters. Amir, Ansar and Awais claimed 2 wkts each.

Sialkot Stallions in chase batted magnificently to get to the victory target of 190 in the 19th over with 8 wickets in hand.

Mubashir was the highest scorer with 74 runs, Mudassir 54 and Ansar 43 were the main scorers.

In the semifinals Sialkot Stallions downed Shaheen XI by 5 wickets. Shaheen XI batted first posted 199 for 4. Bakar (44) and Amir (52) did their best. Sialkot Stallions achieved target with 5 wickets hand. Mubashir scored 59 and Mudassir 64.

In the other semifinal, Pak Dauliya won against Janbaaz XI by 76 runs. Pak Dauliya piled up 233 for 2. Sajid Cheema scored a match winning 104. Asad got 50. Janbaaz XI in reply managed 157 for 8. Bilal made 51 and Nawaz 62. Wajid and Abdulgaffar claimed 2 scalp each.

The final was witnessed by: Sadiqul Islam, Rahat Choudhry, Zulfikhar Roomi, Mohammed Zafar Tehseen, Nasir Rasheed and Afaq Masoodi. Sadiqul Islam congratulated AQCL for successfully organizing the event and he assured SCC’s support in the future.
