JEDDAH: Sky Freight-OSN, BCT-Lutong Pinoy and Alfa Moe Yasser sealed the top 3 spots during positioning matches on the 19th week of the OSN-FTBJ 50th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

Sky Freight and BCT-Lutong Pinoy went on opposite directions — tied first and last — during the session, but this did nothing to change their 1-2 positions for the stepladder phase of the Saturday night five-man team league event.

Alfa Moe Yasser, like Sky Freight and Lutong Pinoy, was untouched at third position even as the team right behind Yasser in the team standings, Xtreme-Taurus, made some noise by tying Sky Freight on 40 points.

Al Murjana, which along with Taurus and the rest of the remaining teams will have a chance to reach the stepladder via the shootout to pick the 4 th , 5th, 6th and 7th teams, garnered 37 points followed by GBI-TBBGI 32 and Alfa Moe Yasser 28.

D’ Barkads, Bank AlJazira Fawri and Habagat compiled 27, 26 and 19 points. To round out the night’s point getters Red Dragons had 17, Masaken 16, MC Hammer 16 and BCT-Lutong Pinoy 14.

Taurus enjoyed a big night with three of its players in Alex Flora, Jimmy Urbano and Raul delos Reyes hitting the highest three scores on 642, 636 and 625 in that order. Joel Nidoy joined the fun with valuable two games of 222 and 196, while Ric Nangel and Edwin Ronquillo had 182-189 and 175-210.

Delivering a high level of play as usual, Sky Freight drew 623, 582 and 571 from the trio of Nanding Siasoco, Bonnie Garcia and Pancho Cuevas. Sharing two games each were James Galvan 188-179, Goying Salazar 233-186 and Oca Bernabe 225-215.

Murjana had Thong Langa at the helm on 600 followed by Rolly Vistal 579 and Rey Beltran 497. Nap Patayan contributed 204-223, Joey Calapatia added 210-194 and Archie Santos tallied 201-181.

Over at GBI-TBBGI the trio of Tommy Kamal, Tope Sayson and Ric Tibayan came through with 590, 564 and 532. Mao Orolfo cobbled 203 and 202 to go with the 153-180 by Cesar Sacramed, and 200-208 by Fadi Al Hadad.

Abdul F. Mugawan and Danny Bautista carded 613 and 580 for Alfa Moe Yasser, owner of a rare triple double in the tournament. Team manager Yaser Al Hokbi shot 198-208, Rally Zamora added 159-193 and Nonie Yap made 185-204.
