Taurus led a procession of shutout winners and in the process clinched its second straight Team of the Week award during the second sesssion of the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 4 recently at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

Taurus blanked Krua Thai Restaurant 20-0 on total pinfalls with handicap of 2,474-2,259 and including rank points of 6 came up with the week’s best total of 26 points.

One point adrift on 25 were D’ Luf’s Strikers who likewise shut out opponent Troopers 20-0 on total poinfalls of 2,435 and 2,187 and rank points of 5-2.

Cyclone became the third team to by a sweep of the win points with a 20-0 demolition of Archie’s Team on total pinfalls of 2,381-2,012 and rank points of 4-1.

To Selections went the top rank points of 8 with their total pinfalls of 2,627 and yet lost 12-8 to Zikato Strikers who returned total pnfalls of 2,623 for rank points of 7.

This result prevented what could have been a total shutout for winners in the young tournament sponsored by Zikato Construction

through Operations Manager Albert Zuniga.

The second week’s awards were evenly distributed with Zikato’s Jerry “Ka Imo” Carredo claiming the men’s Bowler of the Week accolade and Christine Esperancilla of Selections bagging the ladies Bowler of the Week plum on 542.

In winning the individual award Carrredo set new records for high series with handicap at 573 and high series scratch at 519.

Jhoon Caisip and Khalid Bustinera paced Taurus on 542 and 509. Fedelyn Bustinera on 465 and Regino Mendoza on 449 were the other players to go full games while Ric Nangel tallied 152-143, and Jun Pamintuan made 155.

Luf’s Strikers, second to Taurus in the team standings, drew the top score of 501 from Ed Cordova with Sol Cuenca and Carmen Duma hitting three-game series of 492 and 479. Contributing two games each were skipper Danny Atubang 149-121, Alexander Duma 123-152 and Farida de Guzman 152-130.

Over at Cyclone Richard Junio top-scored on 555. Salic Mudag came through with 502, Tito Cruz added 481 and Gloria Papa had 438.

Besides Carredo the others that contributed to the Zikato cause wereVic Gonzales 484, Carms Lim 449, team captain Toto Lim 144-190, Arman Gamboa 177-189 and Benj Espinosa 154-179.
