It didn’t take long for four-in-a-row Team of the Week winner Taurus to avenge its only defeat thus far from Selections and in the process came away with a perfect Team of the Week and men’s Bowler of the Week double during the 8th session in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 4 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

Taurus and Selections drew each other again to begin the second round eliminations and this time the sides switched roles with Taurus the victor in a 20-0 result that Selections inflicted on the league leaders the previous week.

When the session ended, Taurus had the perfect score of 28 points on total pinfalls of 2,750 with Jun Pamintuan completing a double after he was won the men’s Bowler of the Week award on 594.

Thea Busico gave Selections some consolation for the crushing defeat when she claimed the ladies Bowler of the Week accolade on 558.

D’ Luf’s Strikers and Cyclone also enjoyed shutout victories while in the other match, Guardians Thunder defeated Troopers 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2,531-2,508 and rank points of 5 and 4.

Luf’s cleaned up in the match against Krau Thai Restaurant on total pinfalls of 2,694-2,111 and rank points of 7 and 1 giving Luf’s the second-best total of the day on 27 points.

Cyclone finished on 26 thanks to the 20-0 rout of Zikato Strikers on total pinfals of 2,629-2,389 and rank points of 6-2.

Class D bowler Pamintuan rolled scratch games of 159, 173 and 190 at the helm of a Taurus charge that also contained 563 from Regino Mendoza, 560 from Olie Jacinto, 551 from team captain Edwin Ronquillo and 482 from Minda Guevarra.

Like Taurus Luf’s used a single set of five players to build its team total with Danny Atubang leading the way on 557. Alexander Duma added 550 that went with the 534 by Cromwel Marzo, 528 by Tirso Bambalan and 525 by Carmen Duma.

Cyclone had the duo of Bash Langa and Tommy Kamal at the forefront on 558 and 551 with Salic Mudag on 513, Christopher Sayson on a pair of 135s and Randy Del Remedios on 159.

For Guardians, who nailed their first team award the previous week, Ogie Reyes posted the top score of 554. Jeff Magallanes added 512, skipper Ric Tibayan 508, Hyeth Achai 448, Archie Alcantara 169-142 and Ross Isabiniano 138.
