JEDDAH: Sixteen teams will fight for top honors in the ninth edition of the TCF tennis ball cricket tournament organized by the Tellicherry Cricket Forum and sponsored by Jotun Paints.
Players from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will take part in the day-night event, to be played at the BMT floodlit ground, Sitteen Street, opposite Al-Waha Hotel from Feb. 10 to March 10.
Other sponsors include Holiday Inn Jeddah Gateway & Turkish Airlines, BUPA Arabia, Al Hokair Group, Kool Dezign, FSN, 3 Horses and Future Lite.
Over 30 teams sent in their entries, out of which 16 were selected. The teams are divided into four groups, the top two will qualify for the quarterfinals.
The winner will bag the Jotun Paints Champions Trophy and runner-up the Holiday Inn Jeddah Gateway & Turkish Airlines trophy. Various other prizes will be given to the players, such as man of the match award for all matches, best batsman, best bowler, man of the series, best fielder, best all-rounder the fastest 50 along with “BUPA Spirit of the Game” award and the best sporting and discipline team.
Fun games and instant cricket quiz will be held during the match breaks and winners will get sponsored gifts. Besides, bumper offer for spectators including air tickets sponsored by Turkish Airlines and Air India.
