JEDDAH: TCS Thunders got the better of NCB Tech Yorkers by 36 runs to win the first NCB IT tennis ball cricket championship, sponsored by ITC Infotech and held at the floodlit Khaled Bin Walid ground recently.

Six teams — ITC Warriors, ITC Champs, Microlanders, NCB Tech Yorkers, TCS Challengers and TCS Thunders took part in this event.

Yogesh Sharma was Man of the Series, the Best Batsman award went to Prabin Kumar and Syed Abdulquader was the judged the Best Bowler of the tournament.

NCB Tech Yorkers team won all the league matches and took their rightful place in the final. ITC Warriors and TCS Thunders teams were in second spot, with each losing a match. TCS Thunders, with a better run rate, qualified as the second finalist.
