JEDDAH: The Fourth Season of Jeddah Champions Trophy cricket tournament, organized by Azizia Deccan and sponsored by Ford-Al Jazirah Vehicles under the co-sponsorship of SBL Trading, Powerbar & Empower Contracting, has reached its business end as the top 8 teams clash in the Super 8 knockout round here at Sulemania grounds.

The super 16 knock-out round witnessed some of the tournament’s most enthralling matches as the teams fought hard to make it to super 8 round. First it was host Azizia Deccan who were restricted to a paltry 86 in their allotted overs, but then came back strongly to bundle out their opponents Deccan Youth for 77, thanks largely to Man-of-the-Match Abdul Wasay who returned figures of 3 for 9 from 3 overs.

Soon after, Hyderabad Royals and Kerala Knight Riders followed suite by registering final over victories with Sohail and Shafeer being the heroes for their teams respectively.
