West Side blasted Bhara Cable 96-76 in a knockout game for the last semifinal slot in Non-rated Division Group C of the OFBL (Overseas Filipino Basketball League) 6th Conference at Timeout Sports Academy Gymnasium on Television St., Ghulail District on the outskirts of Jeddah.

West Side showed no mercy in this crictical must-win game.

West Side power forward Amparado of West Side typified the team's resolve and determination to lead all scorers with 21 points. He got not a little help from Pacaigur and Tayamin who combined for 32 points.

Orque, Abatayo, and Bensi tried their best for Bhara Cable to no avail as the lack of players eventally told on the Cable masters. It was in the 3rd and 4th quarters when the trio's game unravelled and West Side cashed in on the opportunity to stretch the lead to as many as 20 points.

In the second game of Friday Morning league, Red Tag failed to win against a Batang Faisal team with a twice-to-beat edge.

With the win Batang Faisal secured the final slot while Red Tag was relegated to a knockout game for 3rd and 4th placein Group A category.

Magpayo, with 24 points, led the Batang Faisal rally in the 3rd and 4th quarter as he explosively scored one after another.

Pagaspas and Figuerroa shared 31 points as well as the rest of their teammates in the 100-83 runaway win for Batang Faisal.

Jay Liam scored 32 big points for Red Tag but then failed to get enough support from teammates.

In an evening game, Nesma defeated Tropang Drinkers in overtime, 91-90 in their crossover game.

It was a see-saw battle between the two teams as Tropang Drinkers controlled the first half of the game.

The 3rd quarter opened a bit of hope for Nesma as it took a 3-point lead to end the period.

And the 4th quarter was an epic one as it was not expected to go the extra period.

But the last shots of Ravino in overtime play preserved the Nesma win as Tropang Drinkers failed to make a basket in the dying seconds. Ravino finished the game with 16 points while Fajardo had 26 points and Callueng 23 points. Luna and Gadingan shared 54 points for Tropang Drinkers team.
