JEDDAH: The first perfect score of 48 points fell after just seven sessions courtesy of Xtreme-Taurus in the OSN-FTBJ 50th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

The points sweep for the three games and overall output gave Xtreme-Taurus its second Team of the Week award after a gap of two weeks.

The eventful seventh week also saw BCT-Lutong Pinoy wrest the lead from Sky Freight-OSN. Lutong Pinoy returned 40 points right behind MC Hammer 42.5 while Sky Freight had 33 points.

Bank Aljazira Fawri collected 27 points in fifth place followed by Alfa-Moe Yasser 26.5, Masaken 22.5, D’ Barkads 21 and Red Dragons 19. Al Murjana, Habagat and GBI-TBBGI were the last three teams on 13.5, 11 and 9 points respectively.

This Saturday night couldn’t have been better for Taurus as Jimmy Urbano, who seemed to be in a zone, completed a perfect double for their team when he fired the high series of 759 to become the Bowler of the Week.

Urbano shot scratch games of 234, 266 and 247 to pace teammates Reggie Mendoza 657 and Joel Nidoy 567 with Alex Flora on 180-201, Raul delos Reyes 218-202 and Edwin Ronquillo 247-213.

MC Hammer did well using a five-man team rotation led by Zaldy Bacero on 685. Melvin Lising carded 652, Dylan Ilagan compiled 596 while Rene Puzaan and Frank Afurong had matching cards of 575s.

For Lutong Pinoy four players all returned three-game series with team captain Igna Salgado on 613, Nezar Al Hamwe 608, Ed Sardiña 605 and Majid Aslani 579. The remaining three games were shared by Benjie Cils 207-235 and Paul Antiporda 200.

Goying Salazar was among the night’s leading scorers on 692 while leading the Sky Freight five-man attack that also contained 587 from Pancho Cuevas, 542 from Bonnie Garcia and 539 from James Galvan.

For Fawri the scorers were Jowet Carion 633, Bing Amolo 589, Luis Luna 586, Ariel Urquia 551 and Atoi Cruz 531.
