RIYADH: Yellow TeaM took home the championship trophy in the month long Doubles Team Tennis Tournament that ended last Friday organized by the Friday Morning Tennis Club (FMTC) at the Al Yamama Hotel Tennis complex.

Cesar Arcenas, the current FMTC President, thanked all the members who participated to make the tournament a success, promising bigger events will be staged in future.

Champion – Yellow Team (Augusto Belludo/Ed Abiera (A1/A2 Doubles), Zaldy Chin/Bernie de Castro (B1 Doubles), Del Serrano/July Manacap (B2 Doubles), Dan Guiao/Arlie Llunar (C1 Doubles), & Ato Gomez/Oboy Valenciano (C2 Doubles), Augusto Belludo, team captain)

1st runner-up – Red Team (Marvin Espina/Larry Barcelona (A1/A2 Doubles), Resty dela Cruz/Conrad Salonga (B1 Doubles), Nandy Faundo/Ramir Abenilla (B2 Doubles), Janvic Lagamayo/Mac Magalin (C1 Doubles), & Leo Hiziroglu/Rudy Reyes (C2 Doubles), Marvin Espina, team captain)

Special awards went to Agustin Belludo & Ed Abiera for the Best Doubles in the A1/A2 category and Ato Gomez and Oboy Valenciano for Best Doubles in the C2 category.

This year’s organizing committee is headed by Cesar Arcenas, FMTC president, Dan Guiao, club chairman; Agustin Belludo, tournament director; Rudy Lim and Zali Tadina, club organizers.
