YANBU: An array of literary, cultural, and sports activities is part of the two-week long National Day festival at the Yanbu Industrial College. Track and field events, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and table tennis matches will involve the sport buffs while creative students will be giving out their best in calligraphy, photography, poetry, and a quiz competition on accounting.

Dr. Adel Ahmed Babtain, deputy managing director of the student affairs departments of Yanbu Industrial College (YIC) and Yanbu University College (YUC) said that, “The festival will foster patriotism and brotherhood amongst the participating students.” Dr. Abdulmonem Alzalabani, deputy managing director of the Academic Affairs Department stated that such events will help in making the students more responsible and dedicated citizens. Dr. Abdullah Basiouni, head of the Industrial Management Technology (IMT) Department appealed for wholehearted participation in the events.

Abdulwasea Aljuhani, supervisor of the activities at the college said that, the students are grouped into four teams — Al-Sukoor, Al-Abtal, Al-Najoum and Al-Mustakbil. The team members will don T-shirts commemorating the National Day Festival and the winners will be given prizes.
