MOSCOW: European short course swimming champion Ksenia Moskvina of Russia was handed a six-year ban for repeated violations of the anti-doping code, Russia’s anti-doping agency RUSADA announced Thursday.
“Moskvina was banned for six years from Nov. 25, 2013, for repeated violations of the anti-doping code,” the RUSADA official site stated.
Last year Moskvina was banned for one year also for a doping offense.
At the 2009 European short course swimming championships Moskvina won the gold medal in the at 100m backstroke and two bronze medals in the 50m backstroke and 4x50m medley swimming disciplines.
